TypeScript tutorials
TypeScript is a programming language developed by Microsoft that adds static types to JavaScript. Every JavaScript program is also a TypeScript program, and the TypeScript compiler turns TypeScript code into plain JavaScript that runs in browsers, in Node.js, and in other JavaScript runtimes. The types are checked before the program runs, so many errors are found in the editor instead of in production.
E-books
The type system of TypeScript is structural: types are compatible when their shapes match, not because of their names. It supports union and literal types, generics, and types computed from other types, which let the compiler describe the dynamic patterns of JavaScript code precisely. Types also power the editor features that developers rely on, such as autocompletion, navigation, and safe refactoring.
The tutorials start with installing TypeScript and the basics of the language, continue with the type system, and end with advanced types, asynchronous code, and code organization. Every example has been compiled in strict mode and run, and the tutorials show the real output. Beginners should start with TypeScript Setup and TypeScript Basics.
